Cory Washington

Cory Washington is a senior at Rufus King International
Baccalaureate High School with a 3.3 G.P.A. Cory
plans to attend Northwestern University to pursue study
in psychology or sociology. He is quite academically gifted,
having successfully completed college-level International
Baccalaureate (IB) courses in chemistry, language
and literature, Latin, math, psychology and history. For
the past four years, Cory has been part of the PEOPLE
Program—a pre-college program at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. He is also a graduate of Cisco’s
IT computer skills program. Cory has been a recipient
of the Milwaukee Urban League’s “Doing the Right
Thing” (DTRT) and National Achievers Society (NAS)
Program for academic excellence for five consecutive
years. He is also one of the League’s long-time youth
volunteers. Aside from academics, he plays tennis and
assists his church with providing Bible Study for homebound
seniors.
