Candice R. Dillon
Candice R. Dillon is an accomplished classical musician and founder of Candi’s Piano Studio. She hosted a recital highlighting her students’ talents of various nationalities, musical experiences and ages celebrating the studio’s five-year anniversary in January. Candice’s drive, sense of purpose and undeniable passion for mentoring children shines. In her words, “I began teaching the love and art of making fine music and manifested my studio’s mission statement ‘Change the world, one note at time’!”
Growing up in Milwaukee’s King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church as a premature baby weighing barely 2½ pounds, Candice required therapy. When she turned three years old, her pastor, Rev. F.L. Harper, suggested she learn to play piano as therapy. She continued through her education distinguishing herself as the first student to win all trophy cups from the Wisconsin Federation of Music.
Through the years, Candi’s Piano Studio has donated over $1500, instruments and musical services to organizations. Students are provided instruments when needed. She attributes her success to her parents, Charles and Sydney Dillon, among other supporters. She has three girls – one 7-year-old and 1-year-old-twins. She holds thisBbible verse sacred; “to whom much is given much; much is expected.”
